Our current needs
It's rather quieter than usual. Oh well. (But see below, right at the bottom of this page.)

Full-time positions
Because we're a small company, we hire quite infrequently. When we do, we hire a recent intern or graduate from one of the local publishing programs. We don't anticipate needing any full-time staff any time soon, and if we do, we know who we'll be hiring. Sorry!

Internships and trainee positions
We take interns (and/or trainees) from the Toronto-region publishing programs (Ryerson, Centennial, George Brown, and Humber). We look for students who have done well in copy editing and substantive editing courses. We are open to taking interns from publishing programs in other regions. If you're interested, please apply through the internship program at your educational institution, or send a resume and a message explaining why you want to intern at Colborne to info@colcomm.ca.

Freelance work
We often use freelancers, but our needs are unpredictable. In the past we've used freelance editors, writers, proofreaders, researchers, translators, and indexers. We're in the middle of developing a new website that will get work directly from our customers and farm it out to freelance editors like you.
